Intro to Web Development

Intro to Web Development

Learning to code can be intimidating on your own. Maybe you’ve started an online course, but never finished. Perhaps you’ve made a website with Wordpress or a drag-and-drop web design tool, but want to do more. If you’re curious if a career in code is for you, or just want to gain a useful new skill, Awesome Inc’s Intro to Web Development is made for people like you. This part-time, evening course for adults, 21+, covers introductory content used to prepare students for our full-time, intensive Bootcamp program, helping you build a solid foundation in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Classes are two nights per week (Mondays and Wednesdays), 6:30pm to 8:30pm, for nine weeks. This course is intended for adults. No prior programming experience is required, but basic computer skills (typing, using a web browser, etc) are helpful. Awesome Inc students have come from a variety of backgrounds, including manufacturing, design, food service, and healthcare. In addition to in-class hours, our instructional team is available for Q&A throughout the week via Slack. Course outcomes: - Prepare your computer environment for web development with professional-quality tools - Write code in languages like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript - Make friends and learn how to continue practicing web development beyond this course
