The program raises money not only for the church but for other charities each year (for Dolly's concert it is the Breast Cancer Prevention Institute and St. Anne House for Mentally Challenged Women).
Past performers at an Evening Among Friends have included Regis Philbin, Bill Cosby and Natalie Cole.
Dolly is scheduled perform Oct. 25, and tickets are presently on pre-sale. As they have yet to be made available to the public, you may only reserve seats right now through the church office using a form available here. Regular general admission Gala tickets, which include valet parking, pre-concert hors d'oeuvres and desserts and aperitifs after the show, are $175 each. However, 20 tickets for $700 each are available for a pre-concert reception with a meet-and-greet with Dolly (including a personalized photo and video of your meeting with her and preferred seating at the show) and 20 additional tickets are available for $1,000 each for private seating at the front of the stage in rocking chairs autographed by Dolly that you'll be able to take home. Group tickets are also available for reserved, orchestra-level seating ($2,000 for rows of six and $2,600 for rows of eight – and each member of your party will receive special Dolly memorabilia). General admission tickets for the concert alone may be opened up for sale through an online vendor starting in February. The venue, the E.K.U. Brock Auditorium, holds just 1,500 people, so the concert will be quite intimate. Tickets should be mailed out about a month prior to the concert.
