Upcoming Events

Nicholas Jamerson / Grayson Jenkins / Wesley Smith

Americana/Roots
Nicholas Jamerson A singer’s combination of good looks, an eastern Kentucky accent and cowboy boots can easily draw a crowd of fans. The real charm lies in the perspective and lyrics voiced in the songs of Nick Jamerson. Grayson Jenkins A native of the rolling hills and coal mining communities of rural western Kentucky, Grayson Jenkins is a singer-songwriter who now calls Lexington, KY his home. Grayson’s music reflects his influences from all genres, whether it's country, blues, rock, or bluegrass. His lyrics are inspired by the words of Mark Twain, who always said, “Write what you know.” In keeping with this motto, Grayson’s songs pay homage to the things most important to him—family, friends, and a life without regrets. "Cityscapes & Countrysides", Grayson's second full-length LP, is the culmination of two years of transition and growth for a young man trying to figure things out. Grayson's original songs capture the heartbreak of losing loved ones, the trials and triumphs of each day, and aspirations of a better life. Raised in Muhlenberg County, KY, Grayson developed an appreciation for all things genuine and real. Grayson and his band, the Resolutions, cut the majority of "Cityscapes & Countrysides" live in order to deliver the songs in their most natural form. Wesley Smith Wesley has been writing songs. They're about his life experiences or people he has met. His influences include James Taylor, Jim Croce, Eagles, Steve Miller, Jonathan Edwards, John Cleese.

The Black Lillies

Country
The Black Lillies play rootsy tunes with as much heart as technical virtuosity. If you ask them, they’ll tell you they play "Tennessee music" – combining strains of swampy Memphis soul and blues with Nashville’s classic country and East Tennessee’s traditional Appalachian style – while Rolling Stone describes it as "country music with a soul-rock infusion, supported by bandleader Cruz Contreras' smart songwriting and tight musicianship." The band’s fourth and most recent album, 2015’s “Hard to Please,” reached No. 1 on the Roots Music Report and No. 4 on the Americana radio charts, as well as debuting at No. 12 on Billboard Heatseekers and No. 30 on Billboard's Top 200 Country Albums.

India Ramey / Ryhan Sinclair

Americana/Roots
Blasting twin barrels of Americana noire and southern-gothic songwriting, India Ramey fires on all cylinders with her national debut, Snake Handler. Pentecostal churches, broken households, crooked family trees, forgotten pockets of the Deep South, and domestic violence all fill the album’s 10 songs, whose autobiographical lyrics pull from Ramey’s experience as a young girl in rural Georgia. Intensely personal and sharply written, Snake Handler shines a light on the darkness of Ramey’s past, driving out any lingering demons — or snakes, if you will — along the way. Inspired by the warm sonics of Jason Isbell’s Southeastern and the big-voiced bombast of Neko Case’s Furnace Room Lullabies, Snake Handler was recorded in six days with producer Mark Petaccia — Southeastern’s sound engineer, coincidentally — and members of Ramey’s road band. Ringing guitars, violin, atmospheric organ, and percussive train beats all swirl together, leaving room for Ramey’s voice — an instrument punctuated by the light drawl of her hometown and the quick tremolo of her vibrato — to swoon, swagger, and sparkle. It’s a voice she began developing as a child in Rome, Georgia, singing made-up songs into her electric hair curler while her parents fought just outside her bedroom door. The family home was a violent one, the product of an addicted father who flew into an abusive rage whenever his vices took control. Despite being the youngest of three children, Ramey grew up quickly, robbed of a typical childhood by her unpredictable home life. She recollects those early years in “The Baby,” skewers her no-good dad in “Devil’s Blood,” tells her mother’s story in “Rome to Paris,” and paints a less-than-inviting picture of her hometown in “Devil’s Den.”

Sarah Shook & The Disarmers / Nicholas Jamerson

Americana/Roots, Country, Rock
"Sarah Shook and the Disarmers are the best thing to emerge from country music in the last ten years and Sidelong is the best album released, in any genre, so far this year." -LOUDER THAN WAR "...a sneering fusion of punk-rock autonomy and say-it-like-it-is country from the classic era, paired with a timeless vocal warble and tons of attitude. Honest to a fault and as foul-mouthed as a drunken sailor, she's a nonconforming spitfire who's proud of not fitting in with mainstream country music." ?-ROLLING STONE "Sidelong is raw and raunchy fuck-or-fight music...With Sarah Shook in the mix, hard core country is alive and well, and dangerous as all get out." -NO DEPRESSION

Kyle Keller / Eric Bolander / Chase Crawford

Americana/Roots
"Kyle Keller is a singer-songwriter currently based in Gainesville, Florida. After spending a short amount of his childhood in Michigan, he and his family migrated to the small town of Nashville, Georgia. Located in the heart of the Deep South and steeped in everything a young songwriter needs to learn and grow into a prolific story teller and songsmith. Though his musical background and upbringing in music doesn't necessarily stem from his family,  his father was always sharing the old folk music he listened to and unknowingly began guiding him down the path in which he finds himself today. Influential names like John Denver, Bob Dylan, and Townes Van Zandt would go on to spark Kyle's interest in learning how to construct a quality song. His more modern influence would move on to include songwriters such as Joe Pug, John Moreland, David Ramirez, and Joe Purdy. Once Kyle turned sixteen he picked up an old acoustic guitar and would begin his search for his own stories to tell. Since then, Kyle has been spreading his stories and songs one stage and town at a time. A true blue collar musician, hell bent on doing what he loves and making friends along the way. His sound has been described as "Americana/Folk style with boyish charm and a man's intensity".

Jesse Dayton

Country, Alternative, Rock
To call Austin's Jesse Dayton an "Americana" act makes him sound like a museum piece, when in reality, he's an alive, unabashed alt-punk-country twanger and basher and barely restrained rock'n'roller who has built a cult following since his first album, "Raisin' Cain," in 1995. He has recorded eight albums of his own, plus two soundtracks for Rob Zombie ("The Devil's Rejects," "Halloween 2"), and in 2016 has been selling a sampler CD at his merch table that includes such new songs as "Daddy Was a Badass" and a tune with one of the most country titles ever penned, "I'm at Home Gettin' Hammered (While She's Out Gettin' Nailed)." He's also he also played on some of the final recordings by Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Ray Price and Glen Campbell, has also performed with Willie Nelson and Johnny Bush, filled in for Billy Zoom in X, and is on the road with John Doe in 2016, both in John's band and fronting his own act. No stranger to acting, he also wrote and directed a 2013 horror movie, "Zombex," starring Malcolm McDowell, Sid Haig, John Doe and Lew Temple ("The Walking Dead").

The Stolen Faces

Live Music in Bar/Club
The Stolen Faces Nashville, TN The Grateful Dead continue to have one of the most rabid and loyal followings of any band in history, and deservedly so: They wrote great songs, and they were excellent musicians and terrific improvisers who never played a tune the same way twice. Grateful Dead cover band The Stolen Faces deftly capture the spirit of the Dead, covering a wide variety of songs from the band’s expansive catalog and delivering them with the sort of energy and spontaneity that might have you thinking you’re standing in the Fillmore West in 1971. Led by bassist Christian Grizzard, the group features guitarist Jack Silverman, drummer Matt Martin, and a rotating cast of some of Nashville’s top session and touring musicians. The members of The Stolen Faces all share a love for the Dead, and for the freeform jamming and good vibes that music entails. The group puts a high premium on nailing the vocal harmonies, and has the instrumental firepower to take the extended jams into some seriously trippy sonic territory. In a short time, touring through Tennessee, Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansas, they’ve begun to establish a reputation as one of the Southeast’s most solid and rockin’ Dead bands!

Chuck Prophet & The Mission Express

Rock, Folk, R&B/Soul
San Francisco institution Chuck Prophet named his band The Mission Express after the bus line that runs through his neighborhood. He first came to prominence in the '80s with the psychedelic country-rock band Green on Red, recording eight albums and an EP with them before going solo in 1990. Following his muse to wherever it takes him sonically, he has released 14 albums of diverse styles. His latest, the rocker "Bobby Fuller Died for Your Sins," was released in early 2017. He calls it "California noir," and there's definitely a dark current running below or at surface, with such songs as the title tune, which references the star-crossed '60s rock legend, and "Bad Year for Rock and Roll," based on the morbid musical year that was 2016.
