Anjelah Johnson

Actress, comedian, and former NFL cheerleader Anjelah Johnson created two popular characters on the MADtv television series, the rude and ghetto fabulous Bon Qui Qui plus a shifty nail salon employee named Tammy. Born and raised in San Jose, CA, of Mexican and Native American descent, Johnson was attending college when a chance to join the Oakland Raiders’ cheerleading squad, the Raiderettes, pulled her away to Los Angeles. She joined the sketch show’s cast in 2007 for a total of only four episodes, but her Bon Qui Qui and Tammy characters were a hit and in 2008 she earned an ALMA (American Latino Media Arts) award nomination for her work. A year later she would appear on the television series Ugly Betty while lending her voice to the animated film Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel.
