Always Excellent
Dudley's is one of my favorite Lexington restaurants. It's a great place for a date (hint: pair dinner with a couples' massage at the Massage Center). The atmosphere is very nice, either inside or outside on the patio.
The food selection, although not a huge menu, is great, and the quality and taste is always excellent. Dudley's has a nice selection of wines and drinks.
What finalizes the rating of four-and-a-half stars is the finesse of the service. I have never had a bad service experience there.

Debbie Long's tenure as a restaurateur has been an educational journey, particularly regarding wine. When Dudley's opened in the early 1980s, the choices were primarily house white, red and rosé, with perhaps a carafe of this or that now and then. Time, the input of collectors and personal travel have transformed a tiny ordinary collection into one of the best in Lexington.
