6th Annual Walk for Warmth

The 6th Annual Walk for Warmth gives central Kentuckians something they can do to help prevent homelessness in Lexington. The Walk for Warmth will be Saturday, Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. to noon, and all of the proceeds will go to the Lexington Rescue Mission’s Homeless Prevention Program. The program provides emergency financial assistance for rent and utilities as well as budget counseling, resource referral, and case management.

The Walk for Warmth will start at Triangle Park, behind Rupp Arena, on… Show more Main Street, in downtown Lexington and will end at the Kentucky Theatre. Registration begins at 9 a.m. Free parking is available at the Transit Center

garage. There is no registration fee, but participants are encouraged to raise at least $50 in sponsorships for the event. Prizes will be awarded to the top fundraising individuals, and everyone who walks will receive a free t-shirt.
