2013 University of Kentucky Brassfest!

We are excited to announce the first annual UK Brassfest, being held on the campus of the
University of Kentucky. The dates of the festival are March 8th and 9, 2013 and will include
concerts, workshops, clinics, vendor displays, a brass quintet competition and the Participant
Festival Brass Choir.

Pre-register by February 18th and receive a festival t-shirt! Those competing in the Brass
Quintet Competition must register by the February 18th date. You may also register the
morning of March 9th at 8:30am in the lobby of the Singletary Center for the Arts. Cost of the
festival is $15.
This year will feature the S. E. Shires/Pickett Brass High School Brass Quintet Competition
which will include a $1500 S. E. Shires Cash Prize as well as a Full Line of Pickett Brass
Mouthpieces!!!
