Institute 193 is pleased to present a solo exhibition of work by the Atlanta-based artist E.K. Huckaby.
A modern day alchemist, Huckaby concocts his own paints and pigments. He translates antiquated subject matter gleaned from out-of-print textbooks and anatomy manuals into compositions imbued with mystery and a macabre mysticism.
Huckaby's work is included in the collections of the High Museum of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art Georgia. This will be his first exhibition in Kentucky.
