2012 brings the 150th anniversary of the battle of Perryville - Kentucky's largest Civil War battle. Written by Kentucky's own Joseph Baber and based on texts from the Civil War, An American Requiem is an inspiring and moving piece first commissioned and performed by the Singers in 1999. The Singers bring it back to Lexington this year supplemented with imagery from the period projected over the choir and orchestra to complement the lyrics.
