Lexington Chamber Chorale: The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass

This is best described as a joyful affirmation of life expressed in sophisticated choral sound and jubilant bluegrass harmonies. Composer Carol Barnett created this enjoyable work of bluegrass music with a church flavor, and the Chorale will be accompanied by a bluegrass band, The New Ky String Ticklers. Among the other all-Kentucky works are Stephen Foster numbers, and also a commissioned work by Earlene Rentz titled Memories.
