combat in WWII

By having a 90-minute program where each WWII vet will speak and then open the floor for a Q&A session

By having a 90-minute program where each WWII vet will speak and then open the floor for a Q&A session

Interesting facts:

- Out of 16 million Americans who served in WWII, approximately 5 million are alive
today. However, they are dying at a rate of 1,100 per day - 396,000/year.

- Corregidor was a key island guarding the entrance to Philippine Bay. If the Japanese held
island was not retaken, General McArthur could not have made good on his promise to
return and retake the Philippines from the Japanese.

- Each WWII vet will briefly address this younger Vietnam brothers in Army to tell his
story about serving in WWII, especially jumping on Corregidor Island.

- Time will be set aside after the presentation for media interviews.
