 June 13, 2008 - Lexington Herald-Leader - By Howard M. Snyder

The Coach House has been a fabled restaurant in Lexington, whether open or closed, for decades. Since the early 1970s, when the ”new“ Coach House was built, it was the place to be and be seen. Back then, it was called Stanley Demos' Famous Coach House. But Demos retired in the 1980s, and the Coach House has dwindled ever since. The restaurant has changed hands multiple times; once it reopened as a German restaurant. That didn't last long. Now, it has reopened as The Coach House and, for the most part, it has dwindled. A Wonderful Experience

We were thrilled with the blue cheese crusted blackened rib eye, the perfectly grilled filet mignon and the fantastic fried green tomato salad. Our service was the best we've experienced in ages. The owner personally checked in with our table and was so sweet as to answer our questions about the history of the Coachhouse and plans for the future. We even changed our plans to stay and enjoy the music. We were treated to a complimentary chocolate mousse parfait in celebration for one of our party's birthday. What a perfect evening, perfect food, and wonderful people who are providing Lexington with a place everyone should visit! Thanks Coachhouse for coming back. It was great!

The Coach House Has Poor Managment

After my visit to the Coach house i felt the need to warn other people not to waste their money you would get friendlier service at mcdonalds.
The Mangr/ owner is the most abraisive person i have ever met. the questions i asked about the menu were answered in sarcasim and when you spend that kind of money you would think they would respect their customers a lil more........
In short i dont beleive they will be open in a month .
