Rough first day but promising resturant

We went for the Grand Opening, the food was really great and I love Mediterranean. The service was very friendly.
The only downside was I don't think they were expecting such a large crowd for opening day. There were two servers and we had to wait a long while to order, our food litterally took over an hour to get, and right before we got ours they were telling people who came in that they had ran out of food. Because of our long wait the owner?/manager? got us free salads and deserts, something that I think is out of the ordinary in resturants now a days but was much appriciated. I also overheard him offering the same to other customers at near by tables when they began to run out of food, asking if they would like something else instead and offering to include free desert.

The food was deffinatly worth it when it came, I ordered the beef shawarma platter and the beef was tender and perfectly spiced. The salads were good, but I wish they hadn't run out of the cucumber salad before I got there. And the baklava was to die for, dripping with honey but still delicate in flavor.

I am deffinatly planning return trips and consider the long wait and absent menu items to be just a result of the first day. The food and staff made it worth the wait.
