John S. Bator - Paintings

An exhibition of recently completed non-representational works on canvas by Kentucky State University art professor John S. Bator. Consisting of acrylic and oil paint, handmade paper, sand, coal dust, and a variety of drawing media including charcoal, pastels and chalks, Bator's canvases can be thought of as "abstract expressionism" but he refers to them as "Responsive Painting" which evolves as he examines and critiques each painting session.
