Kentucky Writers' Day and Poet Laureate Induction

The Kentucky Arts Council celebrates Kentucky Writers' Day with the induction by Governor Beshear of the new Poet Laureate, readings by past Poets Laureates and performances by Ky. winners of the Poetry Out Loud National Recitation Contest.

Invited Poets Laureates are Jane Gentry Vance, Sena Jeter Naslund, James Baker Hall, Richard Taylor and Joe Survant, who will be available to sign books at the reception following the ceremony.
