Country, Swing
The self-described "Kings of Texas Swing" started out in 1969 with Ray Benson and Lucky Oceans (Reuben Gosfield) in Paw Paw, WV as a tribute to Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys. The group has opened for such artists as Alice Cooper and Hot Tuna. But since 1970, they have gone on to earn multiple Grammy Awards and record over 20 studio albums. Of their many singles on the Billboard Country charts, their highest-charting hit and perhaps most beloved tune is 'The Letter That Johnny Walker Read.' Their latest album, "Still King" was released in March.
